History of PGPAUD UPI Serang Campus

The Early Childhood Educator Teacher Education Study Program (PG PAUD) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Serang Regional Campus, is an educational institution that provides education and learning for undergraduate (S1) students. The PG PAUD UPI study program, Serang Regional Campus, was established on March 12, 2012, with an Establishment Decree number 1681/UN40/DT/ 2012. This study program is under the institution of UPI Serang Regional Campus which is under the auspices of the Faculty of Education. Previously Education. PG PAUD named PGTK based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education Number 510 / DIKTI / 1996 dated September 24, 1996, which was updated by Decree Number 60 / DIKTI / Kep / 2007 in 2007 which PGTK UPI accepted students for Diploma-II level.

Early childhood education (PAUD) is a level of education before the basic education level which is a coaching effort aimed at children from birth to the age of six years which is carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to help physical and spiritual growth and development so that children have the readiness to enter early childhood. further education, which is held on formal, non-formal, and informal channels.

According to the Republic of Indonesia National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 CHAPTER, I Article 1 paragraph 14, namely: Early Childhood Education is a coaching effort shown to children from birth to the age of six years which is carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to assist physical and spiritual growth and development so that children have readiness in entering further education.

Early childhood is an individual who is different, unique, and has its characteristics according to the stages of their age.

Early childhood (0-6 years) is a golden age where the stimulation of all aspects of development plays an important role in further developmental tasks.
